Why you’ll love this recipe forever
- Easy : a blend altogether recipe.
- A nice way to (finally) use your superfood powders!
- The best way to enjoy your morning coffee without guilt at all !
Why make your own almond milk ?
Making your own almond milk is one of the simplest yet most rewarding swaps you can make in your plant-based kitchen. When you prepare it at home, you skip all the additives, gums, extra oil, and hidden sugars often found in store-bought versions. You control exactly what goes in : just almonds, water, and maybe a touch of vanilla or cinnamon.
Homemade almond milk is creamier, fresher, and richer in nutrients like vitamin E, which supports skin glow and hormone balance (especially important for women in midlife). You also keep more of the natural minerals from the almonds here.
And beyond that, there’s something deeply satisfying about making it yourself : it’s sustainable, mindful, and connects you to what you drink every morning. Once you’ve tried it, you’ll never go back to store-bought milk again.
How to?
- Make sure to soak your almonds overnight. Why? To soften them, to make blending easier, and to help your body absorb more of the nutrients.
- In the morning, drain and rinse, then blend the almonds with fresh water, and eventually, add a pinch of cinnamon or vanilla for natural sweetness and aroma.
- Next, strain the mixture through a clean cloth, cheesecloth, or nut-milk bag to remove the pulp and that’s it! You’ll have a silky, creamy almond milk ready and that keeps up in the fridge for up to 2 days.

Why Maca, Lucuma and Raw Cacao, Especially for Menopausal Women
This latte is more than just a drink, it’s a functional blend that supports women’s vitality, balance, and mood during menopause and beyond. I blend almond milk, fresh and cold coffee but also 3 wonderful powders : Maca, Lucuma and Raw cacao.

Maca, The Hormone Balancer
Maca root is an adaptogen known to help support hormonal balance and increase energy and libido, all of which tend to fluctuate during menopause (if you know you know). It helps improve mood, and keeps your energy steady.
Lucuma, The Sweet Nourisher
Lucuma is a Peruvian fruit powder that adds natural sweetness and a subtle caramel flavor that I love, without spiking blood sugar. It’s rich in antioxidants, iron, and beta-carotene surprisingly. It supports skin glow, mood, and gentle energy.
Raw Cacao, The Bliss Booster
Raw cacao is one of the richest sources of magnesium and flavonoids, helping to calm the nervous system, reduce stress, and improve blood flow. As you know = all key for midlife wellness. It also boosts serotonin, giving you that “happy hormone” lift with every sip (this explains why chocolate naturally lifts your mood).
Together, these superfoods make your iced latte not just delicious, but a beautiful ritual for nourishment, balance, and energy, exactly what every woman deserves in her day.
My Barista Tip , The Secret to a Perfect Iced Latte
If your latte ever turns watery or flat, it’s probably not the coffee, it’s the temperature!
The trick is simple but game-changing : never pour hot espresso directly over ice.
The experts always say : let your espresso cool down for a few minutes first, or even better, mix it with your plant milk or keep it in the fridge if you can, before adding ice. This prevents the ice from melting too fast and keeps your drink creamy, balanced, and delicious.
It’s one of those small details that completely transforms your superfood iced latte into a coffee-shop-worthy experience at home.

For this wonderful latte, I always make sure my coffee has completely cooled before blending it with the other ingredients. Then, I simply pour it over a glass filled with ice cubes — pure creamy perfection!
