Laetitia, Founder of Live and Taste

Welcome to Live and Taste ! My name is Laetitia and I am the author of the blog www.liveandtaste.com.

How did it all start?

I have started this blog with my dearest friend Theresa in 2016 and we had so much fun doing it.

But life is a journey, full of twists and turns. And at some point we couldn’t carry on doing the website together.

People seemed to really enjoyed Live & Taste and at the same time I realized my true passion for sharing and creating plant-based recipes, so I decided to continue and commit myself to the blog. So here I am.

About me?

I am Belgian, I studied Law and pursued my career as a lawyer for 7 years. During that period, it was all about business and I had no time to think about food. Then I had my first child and we had the opportunity with my husband to move to Bahrain in 2009. Life gave me the chance to do a break.

After my second pregnancy in 2010, I worked out regularly for the first time and I transitioned to a plant-based diet. I started to create my own recipes avoiding all derived from animals, because I felt better this way. In the meantime, I did a lot of research and read a lot of articles about nutrition.

So I decided to set up this blog, Live and Taste, first with Theresa who shared the same passion about healthy food. Then I took it over.

It is a real pleasure to share to the world this new way of eating and cooking.

The way I eat (is my blog)

My lifestyle is to eat consciously and be thoughtful about what I consume, more than being part of a certain label. It’s living a healthy lifestyle and it’s definitely not a diet.

I cook mainly plant-based recipes and try to use only whole and unprocessed food. Whenever I can, I add raw food and superfood to my daily routine.

I avoid refined sugar (I don’t have any white sugar at home), I avoid dairy and I reduce as much as I can my gluten intake.

This way of eating makes me feel better and I feel glowing from inside out.

What do I love the most?

Obviously, I am passionate about healthy cooking and homemade food. I love to taste new ingredients too.

I could talk for hours about healthy lifestyle and recipes.

If you ask me my resume about what else I love : I love living by the water, nature, animals, travel and I love Pole fitness, Power Yoga & Pilates too. I am obsessed with plants, interior design & style.

What are my favorite recipes from the blog Live and Taste?

I love them all. This blog simply reflects what I am and what I love. It’s my own cookbook reflecting how tasty and fun it is to cook plant-based recipes.

From my morning breakfast starting with chia coconut pudding, crunchy homemade granola or a green smoothie bowl to my vegan poke bowl for lunch and an asparagus strawberry salad for dinner. And I always save room for dessert, have a look at my sweet treats too. They are to die for.

This is only a quick snapshot of my blog. Have a look at my breakfast, dip and dressing, lunch and dinner, salads, smoothies and drinks, snacks, soups.

It is full of surprising tasty recipes. I try to keep them easy and quick.
