This kombucha mocktail is an upgrade in the realm of kombucha. If you are looking for a drink that is healthy and fizzy, this recipe is the answer. This delicious kombucha mocktail is incredibly bubbly -and I love bubbles- and it is naturally sweet thanks to the strawberry twist. It’s a perfect kombucha drink combining fermentation and berries.
Yep, soda and unhealthy fizzy drinks are toxic, so I try with the family to stay away from them as much as I can. So I need to be creative to make some interesting drinks at home !
This healthy fizzy drink, made of kombucha, strawberries and mint, is actually good for your body and soul. And it’s so easy to prepare in your blender! I am totally addicted to kombucha, so this recipe is something I like to do when I have friends, especially if they are not use to kombucha. The strawberries and mint add a delicious touch to the usual kombucha taste.
And finally, this recipe is rich in vitamin C, antioxidants and fiber and makes a perfect refreshing summery drink, full of flavors with a pinch of mint !
Any lovely variation?
Swap the strawberries for raspberries, peaches or apricots when they are in season, it’s gonna be perfect too !
Top Tip
KOMBUCHA adds a multiple benefits to the recipe !
Kombucha is an ancient fermented black or green tea beverage, with a natural effervescence. It is simply made of tea, water, a Scoby, and sugar (only to feed the bacteria to make probiotics from it). After being fermented, Kombucha becomes carbonated and contains vinegar, b-vitamins, Β enzymes, probiotics, and a high concentration of acid.
It seems to help to improve digestion, weight loss, cleansing, and detox! Nowadays, you can find kombucha at many health food stores or you can DIY as I do.
I personally love the GT Synergy kombucha that I discovered in the US. But you can definitely find a lot of local kombucha brands, even in Bahrain.
So I hope that like me you are going to fall in love with kombucha and this recipe makes it incredibly tasty as Kombucha has a flavor profile quite complex (not everybody loves kombucha) and is slightly tangy. With this recipe, this -still- fermented drink is totally delicious.
Can I do the recipe without kombucha?
If you run out of kombucha replace it by sparkling water, you will not have the benefits of this amazing fermented drink, but you’ll have something fancy to drink. Strawberries make delicious mocktails especially if they are fresh and in season.
Healthy kombucha mocktail and…
Fizzy, bubbly, summery and fruity !
