Cucumber Coconut Water Smoothie, Anti-Bloating Drink
I have my fave cucumber coconut water smoothie recipe for you! It is a super healthy drink to start the day with. It is my secret recipe too when I have some bloating issue. It’s very easy as you’ll probably have all the ingredients handy.
This cucumber coconut water smoothie recipe is obviously made of cucumber and coconut water (fresh if possible). There are additionally some banana, fresh ginger and apple cider vinegar. I use to drink it while doing a detox in Sri Lanka.
If you don’t have any fresh coconut water, any coconut water can is fine. I just always make sure it is pure and natural.
Why do I do apple cider vinegar into my morning smoothie?
First of all, you think (rightly) that the apple cider vinegar is too sour in taste to mix in a morning smoothie. Thanks to the banana, coconut water and ginger, it’s a lovely way to hide it in this smoothie recipe.
The apple cider vinegar is well-known to reduce gaz and has a lot of other benefits that makes your life better. If you don’t like a sweet-sour taste, I would recommend to skip the apple cider vinegar but it is the key ingredient against bloating. Another option would be to swap the apple cider vinegar for 1 celery stick or 1/2 avocado, as these 2 ingredients are known to help with bloating too.
When I do few weeks with a fresh lemon juice in the morning, I add 1 tablespoon of apple cider vinegar to it, with hot water and a pinch of cayenne pepper. It is supposed to help to detox your body.
Top Tip
Because of its 5 healthy ingredients, this smoothie can help you with digestion in general and can help you to fight bloating.
The cucumber adds nutrients to the smoothie and more water to make it super healthy, refreshing and hydrating.
The banana at room temperature is perfect, no need a frozen banana. The ice cubes you’ll add to the recipe will add icy and fresh texture.

CUCUMBER COCONUT WATER SMOOTHIE
Ingredients
- 1 banana
- Β½ cup coconut water , (preferably fresh)
- 2 small cucumbers , (or Β½ of a big cucumber) no need to peel it
- 2 cm fresh ginger, chopped
- 1 tbsp apple cider vinegar
- Few ice cubes
Instructions
- Place all the ingredients in your high speed blender and blend until smooth.
