Do you want a boost of vitamin C? You have to try out this yummy orange smoothie. It is made with orange, pineapple, fresh ginger and turmeric !

It is so sweet in taste and it gives you the kick you need to start the day !

The turmeric adds a spicy touch and amazing benefits.

I love to increase my turmeric intake, as it suppose to have anti-inflammatory and antiseptic qualities.

Don’t forget that to have the best absorption of the turmeric, you need to add some fresh ground pepper to your smoothie.

If usually smoothie has a liquid base, but the orange is liquid enough to do the trick.

How to prep your smoothie?

I use to buy pineapple in big batch when they are ripe. I cut them into small pieces and freeze them in medium plastic bags. This way it is easy to take the quantity you need from your freezer.

You will be happy to know that by freezing your pineapple it does not reduce its nutritional content.

I do the same when other fruits are in season : strawberries, raspberries etc..

If you know you will run out of time the next morning, you can prepare your smoothie the day before, by cutting the fruit and keeping them in the fridge.

Top Tip about vitamin C

This super quick smoothie is full of vitamin C, fibers and has anti-inflammatory effects.

VITAMIN C helps to protect cells and to keep them healthy as well as it helps to protect against immune system deficiencies. We need it in our daily diet, because we can not store it in our body.

So I always try to get fresh vitamin C whenever it is possible.

ORANGE SMOOTHIE

4 ingredients, some ice cubes, a blender and voila. A super tasty smoothie to start your day with.

INGREDIENTS

  • 1 orange, peeled and seeds removed
  • 1 cup pineapple - frozen or fresh
  • 1 cm fresh ginger, peeled and chopped
  • 2-3 ice cubes
  • ยฝ tsp turmeric

INSTRUCTIONS

  • Put all the ingredients together in your blender and blend until smooth. Serve immediately!
