This is an easy and quick avocado butter recipe! This plant-based butter recipe is a great vegan or plant-based substitute for butter, cheese or mayonnaise ! It’s a healthy alternative.

I don’t like to buy any vegan butter as they are over processed and packed with preservatives.
Additionally I have to be honest, when it comes to avocado, I can’t resist. This avocado butter is a winner for its buttery texture, irresistible taste and incredible nutrients.
I am always over the moon when the avocado season gets into full swing. Try out this very easy avocado butter recipe, you will not get disappointed but you will become addicted.
From vegan to vegetarian avocado butter – options are endless !
This recipe is so simple. Mash your ripe avocado with a fork or pulse it in a small blender until you reach the perfect butter texture. Add a pinch of salt and pepper, and (you pick):
- fresh or dried tomatoes cut into small pieces
- 1 squeezed lime
- fresh coriander leaves, chopped
- chopped chili
- feta pieces (optionaly vegan)
Add all or 1 of them to the mixture and mix again until well combined !

How to ripe your avocado?
If your avocado is not ripe yet, you have few options :
- it will ripen on the counter in a sunny place.
- another option, is to place your avocado in a bag with a banana. Fold the bag closed and leave at room temperature. Thanks to ethylene gas, it will soften quickly !

Ingredients
Main ingredient
- 1 ripe avocado
Extra ingredients – pick 1 or 2
- 2 tbsp fresh or dried tomatoes, chopped
- 1 tbsp fresh squeezed lime
- Few fresh coriander leaves, chopped
- ½ tsp cumin seeds
- 1 fresh chili, chopped
- 2 tbsp feta, crumbled
Instructions
- Simply mash your avocado with a fork or pulse it for a smooth texture in a small blender/food processor.
- Add 1 or 2 other ingredients (or all) to embellish your avocado butter and mash or pulse again. Flavor it as you wish with salt and pepper.
