This red sunflower seeds spread recipe is healthy and incredibly tasty. I sometimes eat it all day long.
It is great if you want something salty in the morning (with some crackers), it’s a perfect snack during the day or for a late night snack too. You can even add this delicious spread to your salad bowl! Or share it with friends and dip in vegetable sticks.
This healthy spread option has only 4 ingredients and is full of nutrients and vitamins! Best of all, it’s dairy and gluten free. It’s a delicious vegan option too.
You just need to roast the bell pepper and the sunflower seeds. Pick up red or orange bell pepper to add a deep red to this delicious homemade spread. Then you simply blend everything ! That’s it.
Bell peppers add such a pleasant and sweet flavor to this recipe! I love it so much !

HEALTHY RED SUNFLOWER SEEDS SPREAD (FOR ALL DAY LONG)
INGREDIENTS
- 3 bell peppers (red or orange)
- β cup sunflower seeds
- 1 cm fresh chilli or some chilli flakes
- 3 Tbsp lemon juice - (approx. 1/2 lemon)
- 2-3 branches of fresh rosemary
- 2-3 pinches salt or Gomasio and fresh ground black pepper
INSTRUCTIONS
- Half the peppers and clean inside. Place them in the oven about 200C (fan) and roast them for about 35-40 min. Take them out and let them cool down before you take the skin of.
- Roast the sunflower seeds in a pan until slightly brown.
- Put all ingredients with the peeled bell peppers and the sunflower seeds in a mixer and mix until smooth.
- You can keep the spread for about 2-3 days in an airtight container in the fridge.
