After much Caesar salad dressing recipe tweaking, I finally loved this combination with a sublime twist of creamy, lemony, and caper flavors. The tofu addition makes it a huge hit as it contains a complete protein !

Add it to salads (to make the famous Caesar salad), bowls, veggies and many more! You will be soon completely addicted !

What are my secret ingredients ?

I have been loving lately this creamy tofu Caesar dressing and it has only a few key ingredients.

And because summer is here, it is time to gather the best salad dressings in your kitchen notebook. In this fabulous alternative Caesar dressing, I combine and blend olive oil, silk tofu, lemon, mustard, nutritional yeast flakes, coconut aminos sauce, and capers to reach this super creamy dressing.

This tofu Caesar dressing is also vegan, gluten-free and dairy-free. What a pleasure to make a dressing with healthy ingredients only (no refined sugar or over-processed oils)!

Medium blender or high speed blender?

It will be easier if you use a medium blender and blend until creamy and smooth.

If you use a high-speed blender, you might need to scrap it a few times to make sure all the ingredients are well blended for a smooth texture.

What is coconut aminos sauce ? What if I don’t have it?

One of my ingredients is coconut amino sauce. I use to buy this sauce from Biona but you have plenty of other brands that are available out there. You could compare it to soy sauce, but sweeter and it is gluten-free and soy-free (and it is made from the sap of coconut).

You can easily replace it with Worcester sauce or soya sauce in this recipe, if you don’t have it on hand. The taste will still be a bomb !

About the tofu

Not all tofus are equals. Make sure to look for non-GMO and organic tofu to have high quality protein here.

Secondly in this recipe, you need silken (any silken) or soft tofu to make sure you reach this incredible creamy texture (as opposed to firm tofu).

If you can not find silk tofu, replace it with some soya cream or oat cream. It will work too.

From light lunches to poolside gatherings and flavorful dinners, this creamy tofu Caesar dressing is your new salad (and protein!) BFF.
