Orange Glow Smoothie : Sunshine In A Glass
This vibrant orange glow smoothie recipe isn’t your average citrus drink — it’s a nutrient-packed powerhouse made with whole orange, pineapple, fresh ginger, and turmeric (and fresh black pepper). It’s not only a delicious way to start your day — it’s what I call functional food for wellness.

This healthy drink packed with vitamin C is my golden glow up, with orange (whole), sweet pineapple, zesty ginger, anti-inflammatory turmeric and a pinch of fresh black pepper.
Why this orange glow smoothie is so good for you ?
- WHOLE ORANGE = WHOLE NUTRITION
Yes, this smoothie — blend in a high speed blender — uses the whole fruit. You’ll get the pulp and the fiber ! This means : no sugar spike (like you would have with fresh orange juice), fulfilling and great for the gut health.
- POWER FROM PINEAPPLE
Pineapple contains bromelain, a fantastic enzyme to help with bloating, after workout soreness and anti-inflammatory effects.
- ANTI-INFLAMMATORY DUO : GINGER ROOT AND TURMERIC POWDER (+ black pepper)
Two potents roots, well known in Ayurvedic and modern medicine. It is always the best to add fresh black pepper (only a pinch) to improve the turmeric absorption. And if you can find fresh turmeric roots, it is event better !

Optional add-ins (while keeping this tropical color)
- chia seeds for protein and more fiber
- papaya, great for digestion
- coconut water for electrolytes
How to prep your smoothie like a pro (and save time)?
If you want to make your smoothie routine effortless and ultra-fresh? Here’s how I do it:
- I buy pineapple in bulk when it is in season, cut them into chunks and freeze them in reusable freezer bags or glass containers. So your pineapple is now super easy to grab, no waste here.
- I know you’ll ask me if freezing your pineapple reduce its nutritional value? Nope. You still get all the viamin C and enzymes even when frozen.
- I do the same with other seasonal fruits like strawberries, raspberries or papaya (to enjoy vibrant, ripe flavor) !
And if you are short in time in the morning, you can prep all your smoothie ingredients the night before : chop and peel your orange, pineapple and ginger. Place in a container in the fridge and blend it fresh the next day with turmeric powder and a pinch of fresh black pepper. It is a game-changer.
The vitamin C boost
Vitamin C is essential for a strong immune system, healthy skin, and protecting your cells from oxidative stress. Since our bodies can’t store it, we need to get it daily through fresh, whole foods.
That’s why I make it a priority to include vitamin C — rich fruits like orange, pineapple, and papaya in my smoothies whenever possible — it’s the most delicious way to support your immune health naturally.
