Coconut Whipped Cream

Classic Whipped Coconut Cream

It’s a delicious coconut whipped cream, meaning it’s dairy free.

First of all (and again, sorry to repeat this), it’s totally dairy free and sugar-free!

And for this coconut cream, the variations are endless ! You can add citrus zest, matcha powder, raw cacao, vanilla extract, turmeric, etc…

Which coconut can do I use for this recipe?

The best is a good brand of coconut milk that will separate well (and it’s really hard to detect). My go to is usually Organic Biona or Chef’s choice (it doesn’t work with Earth’s Finest, unfortunately).

Personally, this non dairy whipped cream doesn’t need any sweetener and the texture is amazingly creamy ! It will brighten up your chocolate fondant or your bowl of berries ! Being naughty sometimes, I love to put it in my morning latte too (Matcha latte, Coffee latte).

Top Tip

Plan ahead because your 2 coconut milk cans need to chill overnight. It’s the reason why it’s better to keep 2 cans of coconut milk in your fridge to be always ready to make this healthy and vegan coconut whipped cream recipe.

You will have some leftover (coconut water) as you only use the cream for the whipped cream. So I usually do a delicious smoothie with it, like a Cucumber & Coconut Smoothie !

Healthy coconut whipped cream and….

Creamy, delicate & delicious !

COCONUT WHIPPED CREAM

Lovely alternative if you are looking for non dairy whipped cream. Don’t hesitate to let it harden in the fridge as depending of the brand, some coconut cream doesn’t “whipped” that well.

INGREDIENTS

  • 2 cans coconut milk (full fat) - (from Chef's choice)

  • About 1 hour before making the coconut whip, chill in the fridge a mixing bowl and the beaters from a hand mixer.
  • Open the cans very carefully (avoid shaking) and scoop out the solid white coconut cream into the cold mixing bowl. Discard the coconut water and save it for your morning smoothie.
  • Using your electric hand mixer, beat the cream for about 3 minutes or until fluffy and smooth. Add the orange zest,…and beat again.
  • Before serving, it is best to refrigerate to let it harden in the fridge (the longer the firmer it will be).
  • Keep it in the fridge for up to 4 days.
