The best way -from far- to get most of the benefits from okra water while staying hydrated and enjoying a sweet drink (that tastes like watermelon juice).
500gfresh watermelon, cut into pieces, (3 big cups approx.)
Equipment
1 High speed blender (or a good blender)
Instructions
Okra water
Rinse 3 fresh okra pods and slice them into small pieces (removing the edges).
Place the sliced okra in a large jar or container with a lid. Add 550 ml of water. And let the mixture sit in the fridge overnight (or 8-12h approx.) so the nutrients infuse into the water.
The next morning remove the okra pieces (the water should be thick and slimy). You can keep the okra water in the fridge in a sealed glass jar for up to 4 days, ready for blending with watermelon pieces.
Okra watermelon morning juice
Cut the watermelon into chunks and add the pieces to a blender with half of your prepared okra water. Blend for few seconds or until smooth and frothy. Pour into 2 big glasses and enjoy (or transfer to a sealed jar for up to 24h).
Keep extra okra water in the fridge and use it when needed. So easy !
