Yield: 1 small bottle

MIXED NUT MILK

A great (and easy) alternative to dairy milk. Just soak the nuts you have on hands. Perfect for the whole family, from granola, cereals to pudding and pancakes. Pure goodness in a bottle !

Ingredients
 

  • 1 cup mixed nuts (almonds, brazil nuts, macadamia nuts), or any others, soaked overnight
  • 3 cups fresh water
  • 1-2 dates (seeds removed) , optional
  • ½ tsp cinnamon or vanilla powder , optional
  • 1 pinch Himalayan salt

Instructions
 

  • Place the nuts in a big bowl and cover with water. Soak overnight, 8 to 12 hours.
  • Drain and rinse the nuts under fresh water. Discard the soaking water.
  • Add the nuts, dates, cinnamon or vanilla with a pinch of Himalayan salt, 3 cups of fresh water n a high-speed blender.
  • Blend them for 30 to 45 seconds or until smooth.
  • Sieve the milk through a nut milk bag, a metal sieve, or a light cloth over a large bowl.
  • Fill the milk into a glass bottle (with a lid) and place it in the fridge for 2-3 days.
  • Shake well each time before using.
