POWERFUL MATCHA LATTE

Nothing better than to start the day with a matcha latte ! It is an easy peasy recipe. Check it out !

INGREDIENTS

  • 1 tsp matcha green tea powder
  • ½ cup hot water (70°C - 85°C not boiling)
  • ½ cup almond (or cashew) milk
  • 1-2 tsp honey, maple syrup, or stevia to taste - (optional)

INSTRUCTIONS

  • Sift 1 tsp of matcha powder through a sieve letting the powder fall directly into your cup.
  • Add half of the hot water to the cup and using a bamboo whisk or a regular whisker, whisk briskly in a up-and-down direction, to make a thick, soft and frothy consistency.
  • Then pour the remaining hot water to it and stir again. Place on the side.
  • Use a milk frother to warm and froth the milk. Or warm the milk in a small pot for few minutes on medium heat whisking regularly for a frothy consistency.
  • Add the warm milk to the matcha.
  • Sweeten it at your own taste and enjoy.
