ACAI SMOOTHIE BOWL, A SUPER POWER BOWL

A delicious classic acai smoothie bowl that is incredibly easy to make. You need 1 frozen banana and ripe as much as possible. I always keep frozen ripe bananas in my freezer to have them on hand. All you have to do is blend and create an ICE-CREAM bowl !

INGREDIENTS

Acai smoothie

  • 1 cup ice cubes
  • 1 ½ frozen bananas - (ripe if possible)
  • 1 tbsp acai berry powder
  • 2 tbsp water or coconut water
  • 1 tbsp strawberry and coconut protein shake - (or any berry protein powder)

LAYERS

  • 2-3 tbsp almond butter

Topping

  • Few strawberries
  • 1 tbsp coconut flakes
  • 1 tsp chia seeds

INSTRUCTIONS

  • Blend 1 cup of ice cubes until you reach a granite texture (10 seconds approximately in a high speed blender).
  • Scrap the sides, push the granite in the middle and add 1 ½ frozen bananas, 1 tablespoon of acai powder, 2 tablespoon of water or coconut water and 1 tablespoon of strawberry and coconut protein shake. Blend again (on speed 2 to 3). Stop and scrap if needed (repeat eventually) until you reach a creamy texture.
  • If the texture is too frozen, wait 1 to 2 minutes, scrap the sides and blend again until you reach the desire texture for your acai smoothie.
  • In a bowl, add 1 big tbsp of almond butter, add half of your acai smoothie, add 1 more big tbsp of almond butter and pour the rest of the acai smoothie over it.
  • Top and decorate as desired. Eat straight away.
